Provide Electrical Technician support to the Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) Software Engineering Center (SEC) team for their various Ground System Software Integration Laboratory (GSSIL) projects.
Essential Job Functions:
Integrate, maintain, and diagnosis problems with electronic components, equipment, and cables used in the GSSIL.
Start up and shutdown GSSIL systems on a daily basis, as well as maintain configuration logs of GSSIL equipment.
Support GSSIL engineers with integration, validation, and verification of GSSIL equipment and cables.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High School Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of experience as an Electrical Technician.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and cable drawings.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to provide high quality support and customer service to the Government customer in a high visibility position.
A strong customer service mentality.
Travel as required.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of C4ISR, Vetronics and related software on DoD ground combat vehicles.
Experience with DoD ground combat vehicles, tactical wheeled vehicles, and/or DoD C4ISR systems.
Experience with U.S. DoD communications equipment.
