Job Description

The Strategic Initiatives (SI) Training Manager reports to the Strategic Initiatives Team Lead within the Enterprise Planning (EP) directorate of the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO).

Essential Job Functions:

The SI Training Manager oversees the JPO Training Program, including maintaining the current offerings and expanding the scope of the program to better support the people and organizational strategies of the JPO.

Manage the entire JPO training program. Establish and execute annual plans for training to support overall JPO objectives. Coordinate with sources of training, manage budgets, and schedule a program that delivers focused and relevant training to JPO personnel.

Develop and coordinate new training courses to strategically target skills needed by JPO personnel. Oversee the development of new curriculum and validate the courses to ensure they are meeting objectives.

Strategically communicate training-related information to JPO personnel. Match employees to course offerings and ensure courses are well-attended.

Schedule and coordinate people, venues, and materials to ensure instructors and students are able to effectively participate in training.

Review and adjust training plans on a regular basis to ensure course offerings are optimized and relevant.

Put Individual Development Plans (IDPs) in place for all JPO personnel. Work with supervisors and team leads to ensure IDPs are current and progressing. Council employees to help promote personal and professional development.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelors Degree plus 12 years of experience is required.

Secret Security Clearance Required

5 years experience in the management of training.

DAWIA Program Management Level II certification.

Experience on ACAT-II or higher acquisition programs.
