Job Description

DCS is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to support the USAF Sensors Open System Architecture (SOSA) within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions:

Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise to facilitate the development of Sensor Open System Architectures (SOSA) for USAF aircraft and mission systems.

Advise government officials on MBSE best practices, industry standards and technology trends.

Participate as a proactive member of the SOSA Consortium, and interface with industry and standards developers to ensure compatibility and harmonization of existing standards, regulations, and policy.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an associated discipline, with twelve years of relevant applied experience.

Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to their functional area.

An active DoD SECRET security clearance is required on the first day of employment.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:

Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., System Architect, Magic Draw, SysML) within aviation systems.

Experience with software development (e.g., C++, Java, MATLAB) within aviation systems.

Experience implementing and supporting Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) within aviation systems.

Experience working with in the DoD acquisition and life cycle management environment.

Familiarity with multiple intelligence disciplines to include, but not limited to: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Hyperspectral Imaging, and Sense and Avoid (SAA) Systems.

Experience with US Air Force airborne platforms.
