Job Description

Test various software components to ensure they meet business and system requirements, effectively communicating, documenting, and tracking system-related issues until resolution so that our customers’ mission needs are met.

Essential Job Functions:

Support system, installation, testing and user story verification in an agile environment.

Utilize principles of systems engineering, and other engineering disciplines, to analyze and recommend solutions, and clarify system and software requirements.

Write test procedures and the detailed test cases within for use in manually testing desktop and web applications.

Establish test environments.

Execute tests in both informal and formal witnessed test environments.

Perform software and system level testing on product builds.

Report defects.

Provide test status to project team.

Work collaboratively in an integrated SAFe Agile team environment.

Present demos and answer questions at the end of an iteration.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Associate's degree plus seven years of experience or a Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience is required.

Able to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance within six to nine months of hire.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills.

Understanding of the software development life cycle.

Experience with using Microsoft Office.

Able to test and assure quality of software, and work with users of software in group or individual settings.

Ability to multi-task between multiple projects.

Familiar with MS Visual Studio, Azure Devops, Hyper-V.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators.

Experience with automated testing, developing automation scripts.

Experience with using Azure DevOps.

Able to read C++, C#, and Net, in a Windows environment.
