Job Description

Test software components to ensure they meet business and system requirements, effectively communicating, documenting, and tracking system-related issues until resolution so that our customers’ mission needs are met.

Essential Job Functions:

Support system build up, then software installation, product testing and procedure verification.  Become the software application’s subject matter expert.

Utilize principles of systems engineering, and other engineering disciplines, to analyze and recommend solutions, and clarify system and software requirements.

Write test procedures and the detailed test cases within for use in manually testing desktop and web applications.  Where possible, implement automated testing.

Establish test environments, in both Virtual Machines and Government Furnished Equipment.

Execute tests in both informal and formal witnessed test forums.

Report and document defects.

Provide test status to project team.

Work collaboratively in a small-team environment.  An agile environment.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Associate's degree plus 7 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience is required.

Able to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance within 6-9 months of hire.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills.

Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Experience with using Microsoft Office.

Able to test and assure quality of software, and work with users of software in group or individual settings.

Ability to multi-task between multiple projects.

Previous experience working with Virtual Machines.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators.

Experience with automated testing, developing automation scripts.

Experience with using Azure DevOps and Hyper-V.

Familiar with Open Mission Systems.
