Military Combat Vehicle Software Process and Product Quality Assurance!

Work with our customer's Army Ground Combat Vehicle Software Engineering Center to develop and enhance a Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA) capability infrastructure to maximize the development of quality software, adherence to the organizational software engineering processes and practices ensuring the integrity of the software baselines and associated work products.

Primary responsibilities will be to lead the development and execution of Process and Product Quality Assurance Initiatives related to the development and sustainment of World Class Vehicle Electronics Software Systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop and manage an organizational Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA) infrastructure to be utilized across various engineering projects.

Provide PPQA support and guidance to engineering project teams.

Establish and use modern PPQA tools to maintain proper configuration organization to maximize reuse and ease of use.

Develop PPQA Work Management Plans that co-inside with the Software Project Management Plans (SPMP) and Software Development Plans (SDP) that include PPQA Audit schedules, timelines, metrics, corrective action plans, etc.

Ensure all PPQA activities are consistent with organizational processes and compliant with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 8 years of experience is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Experience in developing Process and Product Quality Assurance Plans, conducting process audits, product audits and tracking audit results.

Experience in supporting Process Improvement Initiatives such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and Engineering Process Groups.

Experience in executing software builds, creating and utilizing associated build scripts with a familiarity of navigating through software development environments.

Experience in software engineering practices including the development of Software Requirements Specifications, Software Design Documents, Software Implementation, Software Testing and Software Release.

Familiar with Software Project Management practices such as the development and tracking of project metrics, risk management and mitigation, peer reviews, action item tracking and corrective actions.

Experience with Software Life Cycle Models.

Experience with Software Configuration Management.

Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (10% Travel).

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Vehicle Electronic Software Systems.

Familiarity with Problem Tracking databases.
