We continue to provide innovative solutions with our multidisciplinary teams formed with exceptional employees. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Machine Learning and Computer Vision Software Engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH, for work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), creating geospatial intelligence for ingestion by clients and in-house analysts.

Our team focus is:

Learning about and developing a working understanding of 3GIMBALS existing software processes, procedures, and workflow.

Acquiring and warehousing satellite imagery from multiple vendors ranging from medium to high resolution.

Developing, testing, and deploying machine learning or computer vision algorithms for object detection, segmentation, classification, and counting in satellite imagery.

Creating analysis reports providing insights into historical trends, patterns of life, and anomaly detection for ongoing monitoring of specific geographic areas.

Exploiting geospatial data from our partners in the private sector via API calls for augmenting analysis reports as well as generating annotations for satellite imagery.

In this role, you could expect to:

Develop, implement, and validate solutions to image processing problems that deal with 2D and 3D passive and active image data and object classification machine learning. Improve current existing image processing and machine learning algorithms and pipelines to enhance product functionality.

Collaborate with Government and contractor researchers to resolve technical and usability challenges.

Support both prototype and commercial system development efforts, including with internal teams and customers to troubleshoot or enhance the solutions, systems, etc.

Learn more about machine learning and computer vision, and expand your expertise with image processing and production code generation.

Some short term intermittent travel may be required.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; and at least 5 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: able to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.

Experience with image and video processing or computer vision, particularly volumetric image segmentation, classification, rendering, and analysis.

Experienced with Matlab. Python, and knowledge related toolkits such as OpenCV, Scikit, etc.

Strong oral and written English communication skills.

Ability to travel, if needed.

While not a firm requirement for consideration, we feel an ideal candidate would also bring:

Knowledge of high-performance scientific computing (HPC), parallel programming, and multithreading.

Experience and expertise in machine learning and deep learning in image analysis.

Experience applying probabilistic and statistical models to image processing.
