Job Description

DCS Corporation, a mid-size federal government services contractor, seeks a seasoned and accomplished Contracts Administrator to support the company’s growth and strategic plan objectives. The position reports to the Director of Contracts and the position is located in Lexington Park, MD. 

Conducts the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Duties also include reviewing contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements.  Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Performs assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. 

Essential Job Functions:

Provide the oversight and monitoring of contracts, lead or assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and associated mitigations, support development of major proposals, ensure compliance with company policies, procedures as well as government and contract requirements.

Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration support for Government contracts of various contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M)

Negotiate Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Subcontract Agreements, to include required flow downs.

The candidate will frequently interact - written, oral, and face-to-face - with other contracts and procurement staff, functional peers, management and external and internal customers.

Regularly interact with programs, contracts, project control, finance, business development and with customers as required.

Develop or review prime contract flowdown documents to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and to minimize company liability.

Support internal/external audit activities as well as data request from internal / external customers.

Preferred location for this position will be in Lexington Park, MD.  Alternate location would be Alexandria, VA.  Occasional travel may be requested.

Required Skills:

Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance is strongly preferred. Active Secret clearance is a plus.

A Bachelor's and 8-12 years of experience.

Expert knowledge within government contracts arena.

Excellent negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.

Must have experience with all contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.) and an in-depth understanding of FAR/DFAR.

Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills, including solving problems and mitigating risks.

Candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts.

Candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast paced environment and effectively and professionally communicate at all levels within the organization.

Must have the interpersonal skills to deal effectively with management and staff regarding Contracts issues with high degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution.

Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint and Sharepoint site document management.

Currently hold OR ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret Level Security Clearance.
