Job Description

Serves as a Resource Specialist responsible for implementing Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) programs in the Physical Security Branch, Earthquake IPT Security Support team. Serve as an analyst and advisor to management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and operations directed toward the Physical Security Branch. Evaluate and advise on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support systems such as records, communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation; recommends and/or takes appropriate corrective actions for issues and prepares reports.

Essential Job Functions:

Duties will include reading and understanding mid-sized team plans and schedules.  Interpreting regulations into the design and planning of new facilities. 

Attend and participate in plan review meetings.

Prepare final accreditation portfolios to send to Accrediting Officials for consideration.

Establish physical security construction project library.

Create and manage schedules for a mid-sized team.

Ensure current policy measures compliance. 

Assemble large data sets and prepare them for distribution to accrediting officials for accreditation consideration.  

Independently performs team scheduling of milestones, data collection deadlines and meetings.

Determines requirements based on team project reviews and implements actions necessary to meet requirements.

Maintains and completes established facility databases and develops additional facility sustainment tools as needed. 

Maintains established accountability databases or develops databases to meet requirements. 

Create process based on team input and requirements to properly account for all data. 

Ensure all spaces meet or exceed all relevant requirements by compiling and presenting data in a formal and coherent manner.

Recommend best practices for effective procedures to safeguard information and material. 

Train new team members in their respective duties in regards to proper data requirements.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must have HS diploma/GED with 7 years of relevant experience.  Will also considered an Associate degree with 2+ years of direct physical security experience.

Experience with data entry and data management. 

Experience in operational oversight. 

Experience in translating national and local policy to team directives. 

Apply and interpret regulations.

Act with accountability for documents, devices and equipment, including classified material.

Apply and interpret control, inventory, and safeguarding procedures.

Answer customer questions and provide proper procedural support.

Excellent communication skills and able to liaison with outside agencies.

Use office automation tools and techniques to support office operations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Excel, Word and Power Point.

Defense Security System training.

NAWCWD Secuity mission understanding.
