Essential job functions:

IST is looking for a Program Manager (PM) to support high visibility Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts. This position will support aerospace technologies research in Dayton, OH, and will provide a dynamic work environment having opportunities to work with state of the art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work will focus on enabling capability assessments for emerging aerospace technologies by ensuring related tools are suitable for DoD Decision Support Systems.

This Program Manager must be a highly competent technical leader to ensure that IST meets cost, schedule, technical, and risk milestones, maintains excellent customer satisfaction, strong employee engagement, and supports business growth objectives. Such leadership will position IST to serve the government as a partner of choice, and enable the ability to shape plans and priorities in a mutually beneficial manner. Below are specific detailed qualifications for this position.

Coordinate the preparation and delivery of high quality, fully compliant contract deliverables in accordance with the required due dates.

Utilize your excellent English communication skills and demonstrate them with customers, staff, subcontractors, and company management.

Coordinate the execution of all administrative functions required by the contract such as contracting, subcontracting, purchasing, security, safety, etc.

Maintain high staff morale through employee recognition, team building and, career development.

Proactively formulate and execute strategies for successful contract performance and business growth.

Some short-term intermittent travel may also be required.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS in Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with at least 8 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with varied educational and experience combinations may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.

Strong record of accomplishment establishing and maintaining customer intimacy and delivering organizational promises.

Experience with Cost Plus contract vehicles and demonstrated the ability to track financials and report status.

Ability to support the timely and compliant development of highly competitive proposals.

Experience managing in an R&D environment. Proficiency developing in C/C++.

Demonstrated strong technical skills in modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Ability to work well in team environments.

Ability to travel, if needed.

An ideal candidate may bring the following attributes, although these are not firm requirements for consideration:

Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual) and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.

Domain knowledge in an engineering discipline relating to Aerospace (e.g., Aero, G&C, EE).

Experience with any LINUX OS.

Experience with CMake.

Experience with software version control tools.

Familiarity with modern military systems, both foreign and domestic.

Hold an active Secret clearance.
