Job Description

DCS Corp is looking for an Operations Manager for Army Close Combat Weapons and Tactical Missile Systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Apply well-defined management processes and concepts to a talented team of employee-owners developing technology solutions for Army Close Combat Weapons and Tactical Missile Systems.

Perform mentoring, supervision, and evaluation of all direct reports.
Provide comprehensive planning and execution for missile S&T programs; develop integrated program strategies, project plans, requirements and architecture definition; conduct trade studies, risk management, and technology development coordination/oversight, and report on performance, cost and schedule status.

Support high fidelity Digital and Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulation and integration, force effectiveness experimentation, test planning, range support, post-test analysis, and reporting.

Develop and maintain professional relationships with senior Government managers and engineering professionals, and provide briefings and technical information to assist decision makers.

Effectively lead or coordinate Integrated Product Teams (IPT) comprising S&T subject matter experts from Industry, Academia, Program Office, Other Government Agency and/or User representatives.
Promote a positive, confidence-inspiring corporate image that positions customers to identify DCS as the solution to satisfy their immediate demands.
Recruit and retain a quality staff to support the body of current and anticipated projects while providing all employees fair compensation and opportunities for professional development.

Recognize market opportunities, understand competitive positioning, assess competitor strengths/ weaknesses, and develop courses of action to gain competitive advantage with assigned marketspace.

Be an advocate of the DCS Quality Management System (QMS) - focused on compliance, process improvement and customer satisfaction.
Develop annual Branch Execution Plan to achieve business growth consistent with the goals of the DCS Strategic Plan.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science related field; master’s preferred.

Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

At least 15 years’ experience in DoD system engineering and project management, encompassing requirements definition, development, integration, and test.

General experience with missile system/precision guided munition component technologies and simulation tools.

Strong team building, verbal and written communication skills; works effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including an understanding of relational database concepts and scheduling tools.

Desired Skills:

Advanced engineering degree strongly preferred.

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Specific experience with Army Close Combat weapon systems, Air-to-Ground missiles, loitering munitions, and/or related Mission Command/C2 systems.

Experience with Manned-Unmanned teaming and weapon system autonomy.

Experience with both soldier-borne and vehicle hardware/software integration.

Understanding of the DoD Acquisition and JCIDS process.
