Job Description

DCS is seeking an Operations Analyst within the F/A-18 & EA-18G IPT Process Resources Team. This position will assist in the deployment of institutionalized processes, best practices and industry standards in alignment with the organizational goals and objectives. This position will support process improvement initiatives and efforts for both originating and sustaining change on a continuous effort.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist with process improvement activities by supporting F/A-18 & EA-18G IPT Team Leads, Product Leads and Block Managers in the adoption of organizational project lifecycle processes.

Facilitate the creation and maintenance of process descriptions, in collaboration with affected groups ensuring processes are maintained.

Assist with fostering the institutionalization and optimization of best practices and continuous process improvement.

Track and monitor status of process improvement efforts, tasks and risks.

Evaluate organizational and project level processes to identify improvements and develop a plan of action.

Ensure all critical elements of the process and product aspects of project development and maintenance are retained for use in future improvements while involving and communicating with impacted stakeholders.

Monitor and audit process compliance against the organization’s project lifecycle standards and schedule.

Identify process improvement and training opportunities within the organization.

Provide resources to the organization in the areas of quality assurance, process improvement, and organizational training as requested by Team Leads, Product Leads and Block Managers.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience is required. An Associate’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or high school diploma plus 10 years of related experience will also be considered.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Gather requirements, define and document business processes/procedures using workflow modeling techniques Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and recommend insights and solutions to management team.

Use data insights, process knowledge and critical thinking to identify and validate process improvement opportunities.

Ability to plan, track and communicate status, risks and needs.

Able to work in a highly collaborative and collegial environment, but also be able to operate with full autonomy.

Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Visio).

Desired Skills:

Life Cycle Logistics Defense Acquisition University (DAU) certification.

Familiarity and/or prior experience with NAVAIR acquisitions IPTs.
