Job Description

Network/C4ISR Engineer familiar with Marine Corp systems to provide program management assistance and support for the requirements generation, development, demonstration, and test for a tactical ground vehicle system. 

The Network/C4ISR Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for vehicle electronics, radios, and on vehicle network architecture. The Network/C4ISR Engineer will report directly to the PM LAV Assistant Program Manager, Engineering and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for vehicle electronics, radios and on vehicle network architecture on the ARV program. This engineer will also have to understand ATO/ATC's in order to work with the ISSE and ISSM to evaluate the ARV prototype vehicles.

Essential Job Functions:

Work tactical network (i.e. C4 equipment).

Cyber Security.

Develop requirements and work on  “Requests for Proposal”,.

Serves as a technical expert, responsible for conducting requirements decomposition, technical capability analysis, and technical performance specification development for an armored platform and complimentary capabilities.

Works to align identified requirements and gaps with potential emerging technology solutions to meet known and future threats.

Duties require comprehensive knowledge associated with Department of Defense Science and Technology efforts and capabilities.

Assess and track capability readiness, utility and to determine and optimize technical and operational trades.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering plus five to eight years of experience.

Experience with the DoD acquisition process, standard engineering principles and practices and supporting documentation.

Experience developing requirements.

Experience working on a “Request for Proposal”.

Experience with tactical network (i.e. C4 equipment).

Cyber Security experience.

Strong system engineering background.

Project management experience.

Travel as required.

Desired Skills:

USMC MAGTF and Joint C2 Systems, from section and platoon to higher echelon, HQ, and enterprise levels.

Network architectures, connections, and software interface development.

Interoperability Profile (IOP) instantiation.

Network monitoring, anomaly detection, anomaly suppression.

CAN, Token Ring, Ethernet and onboard vehicle communication architectures.

Remote Autonomous System (RAS) control, architectures, and interoperability.
