Job Description

Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking a motivated Research Scientist/Engineer to help advance our research objectives in the area of multi-domain ISR operations.  This is an opportunity to join a committed team of research professionals performing applied research alongside our Government customers at WPAFB.

Essential Job Functions:

In this role, you could expect to create research plans to help the team and Government clients reach stated program goals.  In addition to performing applied research, both independently and with the team, you will periodically provide briefings to relate research progress and findings to teammates and clients; provide software development support to help explore next generation concepts; and likely publish and present significant findings at Academic and Government conferences.  You will conduct research and development work including developing software requirements and hands-on software development according to customer specifications, system requirements, and software best practices. You could anticipate some intermittent short-term travel to support collaboration between researchers and end users.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S.Citizenship is required.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S.Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: ability to attain at least a Secret level clearance.

At least a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or other related STEM discipline, with at least 5 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification.)

Experience with scientific computing software to conduct research (e.g., MATLAB, PYTHON, etc.).

Experience in any of the following areas: pattern recognition, data science, machine learning, data exploitation, deep learning, or data fusion.

Ability for short-term travel, if needed.

Although not required, we expect an ideal candidate would also bring:

MS degree in a STEM discipline.

Direct experience working with the operations or intelligence communities and their products.

Experience with multi-domain ISR systems

Strong software development skills.

Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual) and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.

Familiarity with modern military systems, both foreign and domestic.
