Job Description

Write and execute automation to test various software components to ensure they meet business and system requirements, effectively communicating, documenting, and tracking system-related issues until resolution so that our customers’ mission needs are met.

Essential Job Functions:

Support system, installation, testing and user story verification in an Agile environment.

Build and execute "acceptance" level tests in a test framework for our server or client tests.

Build, execute, and troubleshoot automation tests for web-based applications

Perform end-to-end testing where features and user stories are tested in their entirety.

Validate technical and functional designs and business rules are detailed enough to begin test script creation.

Establish test environments.

Report defects.

Perform defect investigation and root cause analysis.

Provide test status to project team.

Work collaboratively in an integrated SAFe Agile team environment.

Present demos and answer questions at the end of an iteration.

Take ownership of and responsibility for software products being developed.

Tailor existing software to ensure product can be released to USAF’s Foreign Military Sales customers.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor's degree plus 2 years or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of experience is required.

Able to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills.

Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Experience with using Microsoft Office.

Able to test and assure quality of software, and work with users of software in group or individual settings.

Demonstrated experience with automation tools such as Selenium Web Driver and Visual Studio.

Solid programming skills with C++, C#, and JavaScript or ability to demonstrate coding, scripting knowledge.

Knowledge of Automated Unit Test frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or Microsoft Team Test.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.

Experience with using Azure DevOps

Able to read/write C++, C#, and .NET code, in a Windows environment.

Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Services (TFS) and Git.
