Job Description

The successful candidate will assist the 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Essential Job Functions:

The successful candidate will be the authority on matters relating to design, operations, and accreditation of complex classified IT systems and associated Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes and System Security Plans (SSP).

Serve as a technical adviser to the commander for complex classified IT operations supporting Air Force electronic warfare, operational test, and advanced program activities.

Apply information technology (IT) security principles, methods and products to design, protect and maintain the availability, integrity, confidentiality and accountability of information system resources and information processes through the systems lifecycle.

Design, implement and advise on security policies and procedures in accordance with directives such as JAF AN/DCID/ICD 503/NISPOM to ensure protection of information transmitted to the facility, among organizations on the installation, and from the installation using Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), the World Wide Web, or other communication modes.

Provide customer assistance and training and documentation support.

Travel to and from customer's locations may be required to support projects.

This may involve airline travel.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must have a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years or a Master's degree plus 6 years of experience.

Must have a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain sensitive compartmented information (SCI) at the time of application.

Knowledge, skills and attributes associated with this position(s) include: IT principles, concepts, practices, products and services (including system software, database software, immediate access storage technology), and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability, implementing mitigating improvement, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures; IT INFOSEC security requirements for certification and accreditation, network operations and protocols; systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods sufficient to plan and conduct.

Demonstrated ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.

Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine, and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.

Desired Skills:

TS clearance with DCID 6/4 within the last 5 years and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) eligibility.
