Job Description

DCS is seeking a highly motivated Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. 

Essential Job Functions:

Serve as the Facility Security Officer reporting to the Vice President of Security. 

Conduct new hire orientations, briefings, debriefings, and investigations.

Maintain security records.

Process SF-86s for initial clearance, periodic reinvestigations and upgrades through eQIP.

Serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and the Media Control Authority for Special Access Programs (SAP). 

Oversee the day-to-day security administration, management, and operations for a SAP program.

Responsible for providing suitable physical security measures for the safeguarding of classified material.

Conduct periodic self-inspections of all security functions to ensure compliance.

Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing visit requests as needed.

Serve as liaison for all security related questions and issues. 

Provide assistance and guidance to employees seeking help on personal issues, especially those that might affect their clearance. 

Investigate, prepare and submit Incident Reports as required.

Prepare and participate in yearly DSS audits.

Serve as the ISSO (Information Systems Security Manager) by conducting weekly audits and monthly anti-virus updates.   

Overseeing the systems accreditations and working with the ISSM to ensure system compliance.

Keep Vice President of Security informed of problems, potential problems, and on-going security activities.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

​Associates degree plus 5 years of experience.

Must currently hold a TOP SECRET security clearance.

Must have prior experience as a CPSO.

Familiarity with DoDM 5205.07 Volume 1, Special Access Program Manual, General Procedures and the Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG).

Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure and resolution.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Strong focus on internal and external user and customer requirements.

Great attitude and willingness to learn.

Experience in JPAS, DISS, NISS, and e-QIP is required.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the Assessment and Authorization processes is a plus.

Ability to meet the DoD 8570.01 Manual (M) Baseline Certification – IAT Level II or any approved DoD baseline certification such as Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP (Security Plus or CISSP is preferred).

SAP experience is a plus.
