Job Description

Deputy Program Manager to support a NASA Armstrong Aircraft Flight Research and Engineering program.

Essential Job Functions:

The Deputy Program Manager will:

Support administrating the support of the program to include assisting in the hiring and review of contractor support personnel.

Serve as an interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives, as well as other companies, on technical and program/project issues.

Oversee contractor personnel program/project operations.

Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School Diploma/GED plus 20 years of experience, a BS or BA degree and 12 years of experience or an Associates degree plus 14 years of experience.

Must currently possess an active Secret Clearance.

6 years of professional experience in NASA or DoD, of which 3 of the 6 years must be in support of an aviation highly technical program or in aircraft prototyping.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the requirements for civil or military aircraft safety and quality standards.

Demonstrated leadership ability, communication skills, and the ability to effectively provide direction and supervision.

2 years of Program management experience and 2 years’ experience in at least one of the following:

Systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and/or financial management.

Desired Skills:

Experience operating under AS9100 requirements.
