Job Description

DCS Corporation, a mid-size federal government services contractor with revenues and employees in excess of $300 million and 1500, respectively, seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to support the company’s rapid growth and strategic plan objectives. The position reports to the VP of Contracts at our Alexandria, VA office.   

The Contracts Manager will manage GSA Schedules, IDIQ and GWAC contracts. Additional responsibilities will include managing corporate registrations and organizational compliance (i.e. SAM, Cage Codes, and DUNS).  This individual will be responsible for critical contractual compliance and management, as well as obligations involving high risk and visibility. Successful candidate requires high degree of independent and creative judgment applied to highest-level goals and objectives of the corporation.  

Essential Job Functions: 

Update and maintain GSA Schedule and IDIQ and GWAC contracts ensuring compliance with Government requirements and serve as liaison to resolve GSA schedule, IDIQ/GWAC related issues.

Engage in regular interaction with finance, senior management and customer Contracting Officers.

Capability to mentor contract administrators to ensure compliance with Schedule, IDIQ, and GWAC requirements.

Provides subject matter expertise on contractual terms and conditions.

Analyzes significant/complex/unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies, and procedure.

Strong verbal and written communications skills to deal effectively with executive management and staff regarding contracts and subcontracts issues with high degrees of complexity, and work issues to resolution.

Ability to resolve complex contractual matters and perform business risk assessments, focusing on contract compliance; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as in a team environment.

Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and customer relationship skills; ability to make presentations to ownership/leadership, engagement teams, and others regarding contractual updates and regulatory changes.

Draft and Negotiate NDAs and Teaming Agreements.

Required Skills: 

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A .Bachelor’s degree plus 15 years of experience of prior relevant experience. General experience in Contract Administration may be considered as a substitute for education requirements.

Experience with Government (FAR / DFAR) contracting: Fixed Price (FP), Time & Material (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Level of Effort (LOE), Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) and General Service Administration (GSA) type contracts.

The Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Local travel required.

Desired Skills: 

Certificate in Contract Management or Course work in Negotiation Skills.

A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
