Job Description

The Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM) Specialist provides a broad range of support services for various USAF programs at Edwards AFB Ca and other DOD locations.

Essential Job Functions:

Conduct Configuration and Data Management tasks related to the development, production, and support of various systems and equipment acquired by the USAF.

Configuration Management Support in four CM disciplines: Configuration Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, and Audits.

Operates at the level of CM/DM specialist, independently or with little supervision.

Tasks will include the full range of Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM), Engineering Data Management (EDM), and Deficiency Report (DR) actions required for individual program systems, IAW governing DoD, USAF, AFMC, Division, and Branch-level directives, policies, and guidance.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School/GED plus 16 years of experience, an Associates degree plus 10 years of experience, a Bachelors degree plus 8 years, or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience is required.

Must be able to qualify for, and maintain a Top Secret security Clearance within 6-9 months of hire.

Must have thorough knowledge of government policy, directives, standards, handbooks, pamphlets, as well as DoD adopted industry standards relating to CM/DM.  Microsoft Office Suite of software.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:

Experience with US Air Force and/or Department of Defense programs for manned and unmanned aircraft.
