Job Description

Infoscitex (IST), a DCS company, has an outstanding opportunity for a Computer Engineer to develop and test C# code. In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop user interfaces (UIs), autonomy capabilities, and system architecture. Your work will support production of new autonomy capabilities for the US Air Force Research Laboratory, and involves working with subject matter experts in materials science to develop state of the art UIs and advanced autonomy for decision aiding and autonomous system control.

In this role, you could expect to:

Develop system architecture components, to include autonomous framework integration, hardware/software interaction, and planning tools.

Integrate 3rd-party software into the system architecture.

Design and implement graphical user interfaces in C#.

Work using Agile Development Techniques such as Scrum.

Create code that meets system standards.

We expect the ideal candidate would be a deft programmer who could help us develop innovative technology and high utility software products for our DoD clients.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, with at least 2 years of experience programming with C#. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must be able to attain a National Agency Check (NAC) clearance.

Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and techniques.

Creative problem-solving capabilities.

Strong math and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Excellent communicator with ability to prepare and deliver clear presentations on research and development plans, project status, technical issues and results.

Demonstrated ability to think “on your feet” and react to time critical situations to achieve project success.

Ability to travel (minimal travel anticipated, ~ 2 trips per year).

We believe an exemplary candidate would also bring:

Familiarity with vehicle routing algorithms and techniques.

Experience programming with Python.

Familiarity with the following technologies: WPF, Unit Testing Libraries, Source Control.
