Job Description

Infoscitex (IST), a DCS company, has an outstanding opportunity for a Computer Engineer to develop and test C#, Java, and C++ code. In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop user interfaces (UI's), autonomy capabilities, and support system architecture. Your work will support production of new autonomy capabilities for the US Army, and involves working with subject matter experts in Army aviation and human factors areas to develop state of the art UI's and advanced autonomy for decision aiding and vehicle control.

In this role, you could expect to:

Design and implement graphical user interfaces in C#.

Assist implementation of decision aiding agents.

Develop system architecture components, to include autonomous vehicle routing and monitoring.

Develop and utilize various messaging protocols and technologies.

Work using Agile Development Techniques such as Scrum.

Create code that meets system standards.

We expect the ideal candidate would be a deft programmer who could help us develop innovative technology and high utility software products for our DoD clients.

Some short term intermittent travel may be requested.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or additional experience may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information: be able to attain an acceptable National Agency Check (NAC).

Experience programming with C#, Java, and C++.

Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and techniques.

Creative problem-solving capabilities.

Strong math and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Excellent communicator with ability to prepare and deliver clear presentations on research and development plans, project status, technical issues and results.

Ability to travel, if needed.

We believe an exemplary candidate would also bring familiarity with vehicle routing algorithms and techniques; as well as familiarity with the following technologies: WPF, Unit Testing Libraries, ZeroMq, Source Control.
