Job Description

IST has experienced significant growth in our modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A) business. We seek a Business Capture Manager to help capitalize on the many opportunities in this growing market. A successful candidate would support business growth objectives for multiple locations, work to position IST to serve both the government and industry as a partner of choice, and enable the ability to shape plans and priorities in a mutually beneficial manner.  


Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical discipline; and at least 15 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information:Top Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.

Possess a strong record of accomplishment establishing and maintaining customer intimacy while delivering on promises.

Ability to market the company’s technical offerings to potential end users and program sponsors through face-to-face meetings and conferences.

Ability to prospect for new business, qualify and validate opportunities, and lead business capture efforts, to include developing technical and cost proposals.

Ability to analyze requirements and present compelling, technical solutions to customers.

Ability to work with peers proactively formulating and executing strategies for successful business growth and contract performance.

Program management skills to develop project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules & budgets, as well as leading, monitoring, and controlling execution to high customer satisfaction. 

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate them with customers, staff, subcontractors, and company management.

Technical domain expertise pertaining to MS&A.

Ability to engage in discussions across all AFSIM technical areas in order to understand the mission and support the best approach to satisfying customer requirements

Military Operations Research experience

Domain knowledge in an engineering discipline relating to Aerospace.

Ability to travel, if needed.
