Job Description

The Contractor shall provide IA and technical expertise for information systems, systems engineering, STE, legacy operating systems, laboratory equipment, and avionics systems/sub-systems-related modernization and sustainment programs supported in the B-2.

Essential Job Functions:

The Contractor shall be the IA security official responsible to support in coordinating and obtaining security approval for sanitization and secure handling procedures for avionics line replaceable units and STE driven by sustainment and modification programs.

Apply in-depth knowledge of various computer and electronic systems, from Windows and UNIX-flavored operating systems to avionics and test equipment hardware.

Advise and assist with implementation of DoDI 5205.11 and Department of Defense Manuals (DoDM) 5205.07, Volume 1-4 as well as JSIG regulations for SAP IA oversight and management of computer and avionics equipment.

Assist with IA security oversight and approval of modernization program equipment directly tied to software integration, operations and implementation schedules for new capabilities for the warfighter. All of these capabilities directly affect the maintenance and improvement of aircraft availability.

Support development and approval processes for PPPs, AT plans, ATO requests, and other milestone decision and design documentation reviews as required.

The Contractor shall:

Support the initiation, supervision, and development requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.

Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.

Assist in providing detailed analysis, evaluations and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.

Consult with the Government to define need or problem, and support studies and assist in leading surveys to collect and analyze data used to provide advice and recommend solutions.

Shall demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface).

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

An ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus fifteen years of experience, a Master’s Degree plus twelve years or a PhD plus ten years of experience is required.

An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.

Five years of experience in the DoD.

Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
