The F/A-18 & EA-18G ASI/SCS Integration Test Coordinator (TC) is responsible to the ASI and Block Software Configuration Set (SCS) Test Directors for ensuring the safe and successful execution of the laboratory, ground, and flight-test portions of developmental SCS’s.

Essential Job function:

Supports the Test Director’s in the planning of SCS laboratory, ground, and flight test efforts.

Assists the Test Director’s with the generation of SCS ground/flight test plans and amendments in accordance with the latest version of NAVAIRINST 3960.4 and local F/A-18 IPT/VX-31 guidance.

Liaises with counterparts in instrumentation, aircraft modifications, configuration management, Range departments and others to manage resources for upcoming testing.

Works with Test Resource Managers to support data calls.

Supports Program Risk Assessment Boards (PRABs) and manage test related risks and mitigation plans.

Assists with SOR teams test planning, test point development efforts, and development of products such as a Master Objectives Matrix or Verification Cross Reference Matrices.

Assists Test Director’s with planning and facilitating T&E Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) meetings, Test Planning Working Groups, and Technical Coordination Meetings as required.

Supports the Test Director’s before and during milestone reviews.

Assists in the creation of T&E briefs for milestone and other reviews such as SCS Drumbeats.

Assists SOR Team Leads for milestone preparation.

Assists the Test Director’s in developing and maintaining a near-term and long-term look-ahead plan for Block SCS ground and flight-testing to ensure optimization of aircraft, aircrew, and range resources.

Assists the Project Officer with generation of NAVAIR Deficiency Reports (DR) and Reports of Test Results (RTR), as required.  Facilitate investigation of the effects of the DRs on the kill chain with mission engineers.

Serves as the Block Test Director’s direct representative during various program reviews, status meetings, etc. when needed.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A High School degree with 13 years’ experience is required. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of experience or Master's degree or a PhD with 4 years’ experience desired.

Must be eligible for a security clearance and be able to maintain the clearance for the duration of employment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity.

Ability to participate in multiple weekly team meetings and telecoms to ensure continuous communication with the ASI and SCS Teams, system developers, and contractors.

Ability to become knowledgeable in the other FA-18A-F & EA-18G systems/components.

Ability to travel when necessary both domestic and foreign.
