GPS Antenna Engineer/Tester

GPS AJ systems/test engineer (GPS antenna and GPS Antenna Test and Evaluation Engineer).

Essential Job Functions:

Provide engineering analysis on GPS antenna systems and GPS receivers. Test GPS systems and antenna configurations in laboratory environments. Provide expertise to Government engineers and program management for activities related to acquisition of aircraft GPS antennae and systems.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelors degree plus 2 years of experience. 

Must be able to obtain at least an interim clearance before starting.

Knowledgeable about adaptive antenna and antenna electronics aircraft integration requirements and military civil derivative aircraft use of GPS/GNSS

Knowledge of GPS AJ systems /Receiver integration into an aircraft avionics navigation system

Knowledge of antenna ground planes/ antenna patterns/ antenna integration

Familiar with SOWs, specifications, and test plans- GPS antenna and GPS receiver avionics preferred

Ability to perform a market survey of GPS civilian protection antennas of current and future systems

Ability to evaluate/compare competing capabilities of GPS r civilian protection antennas found during the survey

Ability to correlate test results with the survey assessment matrix

Ability and experience to understand the RTCA DO-373 MOPS for GNSS Airborne Active Antenna Equipment for the L1/E1 and L5/E5a Frequency Bands

Prior experience with GPS antenna and receiver operation and integration

Desired Skills:

Experience with GPS anti-jam antenna operation and integration

Laboratory and analytical experience evaluating ITAR controlled DoD Global Positioning System (GPS) adaptive antenna and antenna electronics

Experience in testing GPS/GNSS avionics and non- DoD ITAR controlled adaptive antenna and antenna electronics
