Job Description

The Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) group is seeking a highly experienced subject matter expert (SME) trainer, and application tester to work with DPSS hand held products and customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain expert level knowledge on current DoD Digitally Aided Fires (DAFS) and Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) capabilities and target mensuration methodologies and doctrines.

Have expert level and detailed knowledge of DPSS mobile products, and current variants, with emphasis on DAFS and DACAS capabilities.

Maintain expertise in current DoD tactical networks and data links including VMF messaging, ANW2 networks, Link-16, J-series messages, etc.

Provide instruction and mentoring for war fighter in the areas of DAFS and DACAS with DPSS mobile products, at various DoD installations.

Evaluate current DPSS products against war fighter use cases, and provide feedback to the DPSS mobile products team.

Identify and document defects in current DPSS mobile products.

Provide feedback to DPSS management on on road maps and new desired capabilities for DPSS products.

Educate users, and advocate for DPSS products within the war fighter community.

Provide periodic updates and status reports for both DPSS and DCS management.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.

BA or BS degree in relevant or related field required with 12 years of relevent experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for continued employment.

High level of expertise with both terrestrial fires and close air support, within the US DoD.

Five years experience in working with DoD operational units coordinating fire support.

Well organized, able to self-manage, self task and coordinate travel and training at various locations.

Superb communication skills, able to interface well with war fighters and civilian DoD product team members.

Extensive experience with mobile products and end user devices (EUD)’s within the DoD.

Desired Skills:

Experience with USMC organization, operations and doctrines.

Experience in working with product teams for DoD software.

Experience with DPSS products, both mobile and desktop.

Experience with other DoD tactical data / fire coordination platforms such as JBC-P, AFATDS, etc.
