Salary Range: $85,887 - $146,245
Tactical Mobility and Wireless Mission Systems (TacMO) Integrated Product Team (IPT) is seeking an experienced systems engineer to support product development and integration activities. The TacMo IPT consists of Science and Engineering (S&E) personnel (program management, software, and hardware) and Specialists/Analysts in supporting roles (cyber security, configuration management, etc.). The incumbent will be required to conduct requirements analysis, contribute to design reviews, design and execute system evaluation procedures for laboratory and flight integration events, characterize and document anomalies, troubleshoot and verify system and sub-system anomalies, perform system data analysis using MIL-STD-1553 raw data, and document integration activities throughout the life-cycle of the product in a Science and Technology (S&T) environment. The incumbent shall provide engineering disciplines to the product deliverables in pursuit of furthering technology insertion initiatives involving wireless and commercial mobile technologies in a tactically relevant environment with the ultimate objective of delivering accredited capabilities to the fleet.
Essential Job Functions:
Support TacMo product development and integration activities.
Develop and manage requirements for TacMo product and services.
Manage and coordinate vendors and component providers for TacMo products.
Design, develop, execute, and document system test and validation procedures.
Participate in design and readiness reviews for TacMo products and services.
Capture and document system performance and defect reports.
Oversee and support TacMo products throughout the product life cycle.
Support customer installation and upgrades of TacMo products.
Support business development activities for TacMo products and services.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required plus 5 years of relevant experience.
Must be able to work onsite - This position is not remote work eligible.
Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance for continued employment.
Familiarity with Atlassion tools including Jira and Confluence.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with current wireless technologies and protocols.
Ability to lead and direct advanced mission systems projects including management of complex naval aircraft/weapons systems integration functions.
Working knowledge of DoD guidelines for encryption and security requirements for Data in Motion.
Previous experience with DoD command control and communication systems.
Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively (written/oral).
