Job Description

DCS Corporation is looking for a motivated, experienced modeling & simulation engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of autonomous ground vehicle system components in an Unreal Engine based simulation environment for the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC). This software will be used in an R&D lab environment to support the development and testing of autonomy algorithms and to evaluate their performance.

Essential Job Functions:

Design, develop, test, and deploy M&S software architectures for autonomy and control applications.

Apply systems and software engineering principles to manage system complexity, reduce integration time, and increase reusability.

Develop plugin components for Unreal Engine and support the integration of simulation components with real-world autonomous vehicle harrdware and software in a HIL/SIL environment.

Architect overall M&S system to include simulation of ground robotic vehicles and their payloads (dynamics, sensors, weapons, etc), human machine Interfaces, and autonomy kernels.

Interact with subject matter experts across a wide variety of knowledge domains.

Work in and lead small, tight-knit teams following best software development practices.

Interact with customers to develop innovative solutions, and present findings to leadership.

Some travel may be required.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience within the DOD services sector

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Robotics.

Extensive experience with C/C++, Python.

Proven modeling and simulation experience - preferably on military ground vehicle, robotics, or aviation programs - using modeling and simulation platforms such as Unreal Engine or Unity.

Experience with Linux, Virtual Machines, and networking.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).

Programming experience in Controller Area Network (CAN) a plus.

Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
