Job Description

Senior Program logistician with experience in combat vehicles and foreign military sales, supporting Project Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO-GCS), will interface with US Army Combat Capability Development Center - Ground Vehicle System Center (CCDC-GVSC),  the Department of the Army (DA), other government agencies and the Prime Contractors along with the sub-contractors in order to provide technical support and direction. The logistician will provide problem solving skills and logistic support related to development, production, field problems and sustainment.

The candidate will be responsible to of seamless logistic support on a ground combat vehicle to include tracking of hardware and managing field problem reports.

The individual will assess risk and propose mitigation steps to the Product Manager (PdM) leadership. The individual should be able to develop briefs and white papers summarizing the risks for the systems and subsystems they are assigned.

The candidate should be able to prepare information papers for the projects assigned in order to keep the PdM leadership updated on the status on critical projects, respond to questions, and prepare them for meetings with the FMS customer, DA and Industry.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead a combined project team of government and contract employees located in many different locations while meeting directed delivery dates to meet fielding requirements.

Provide logistic support to a combat vehicle system in the planning, design, development, and execution phases of the program.

Work in a team environment with our Army customer and DCS Engineers.

Assist engineering in analysis, troubleshooting, and problems resolution encountered with vehicle level issues in that could include electrical or mechanical systems.

Conduct risk management, data management, and trade study analysis

Develop Subject Matter Expertise on a variety of combat vehicle subsystems.

Required Skills: 

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. 

High School Diploma with 16 years experience, with Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or Master's degree with 6 years of experience. 

Experience in combat vehicle logistic support.

Experience in combat vehicle foriegn military sales

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Familiar with Ground Combat Vehicles.

Ability to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (10% Travel).

Desired Skills:

Logistic experience with US Army Ground Combat Vehicle System.
