Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced program with DCS Corp’s U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineering group located in Warren, MI. As an experienced Software Engineer, you will work alongside our U.S. Army Software Engineering Center customer, applying your knowledge and skills by providing technical engineering services that support sustainment of the EMS software.  This work will include supporting the setting up the development, build and test environment. The Atlassian suite is used for supporting development, project management, collaboration, and code quality.  design, development, test of operational software products. It will involve the coordination and integration of other software activities and products from other supplying entities. 

Essential Job Functions:

Software Development following standard software processes.

Communication skills required to interface with systems and software development engineers as well as customer.

Investigation of software reports to replicate and trouble shoot defects in software.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required. 

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering.

Communication skills required to interface with systems and software development engineer as well as customer.

Experience working in environments that apply an engineering approach to software following standard software processes.

Providing engineering skillset in development or reviewing of formal software requirements to meet the needs of the project and customer.

Experience in software development using software version control and issue tracking systems.

Provide technical feedback in software design and development.

Desired Skills:

Familiar with Environment:

.NET Framework 4.

.NET Core 2.

Skillset in any of the following:

Microsoft SQL Server data storage.

Perl 5 application logic.

HTML/CSS user interface.

XSLT content-to-HTML generation.
