DCS is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its teams developing Air Force and Navy next-generation mission planning software on an Agile/SAFe team. This position has the potential for telework within Eastern Standard or Central Standard time zones.
Essential Job Functions:
Contribute to software development as part of a team contributing to a multi-team, multi-organization enterprise using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Take ownership of and responsibility for software products being developed.
Gain domain knowledge and contribute to providing technical guidance to software and test engineers.
Represent the team in meetings and presentations as needed, including providing technical analysis & recommendations, and the development & presentation of meeting materials.
Work with other senior engineers and architects to relentlessly improve software developed.
Have a willingness to collaborate with other development teams, customers and users to produce the desired product that strives to exceed customer expectations.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree plus 2-5 years of experience.
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance within 6-9 months of hire date.
Knowledge and familiarity with Git.
Ability to work with a geographically distributed team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Java, Robot Framework, XUnit, and Unit Test Development.
Experience with Web Application Design and Development using the following: React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Jest, Yarn, HTML5, CSS.
Experience with or understanding of Kubernetes/Rancher/Docker, Helm Charts, and Microservices architectures.
Experience with Java, Spring Framework is a plus.
Experience with Jira, Confluence is a plus.
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Agile Scrum is a plus.
Active Security Clearance is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators.
