Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for managing DCS organizations and subcontractors providing software and hardware engineering services to a government lead systems integrator for force protection systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Be the customer’s point of contact for the overall Program.  Respond to customer requests for information, briefs and formal proposals.  Clear, reliable and routine communication is vital.

Organize and lead the multiple DCS Operations Organization and Program subcontractors to form a unified, proficient, innovative, and responsive team.

Monitor program performance; report to DCS leadership and effectively communicate with the customer.  Manage technical and non-technical issues through resolution.

Manage all budget forecasting, execution and reporting.

Manage and report performance of Program’s assigned subcontractors and suppliers.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree plus 12 or a Master’s degree plus 10 years of experience is required.

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance within 6-9 months.

Prior experience in project management, budget development, and project execution.  Proven, outstanding communicator in verbal and written mediums through formal and informal channels.

Ability to lead a large, technically diverse, team of distributed teams that has multiple customer leads.  Motivate the team to develop quality products within cost and schedule meeting the program’s objectives and contract requirements.

Experience with Risk Management to include the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks, and opportunities.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or counter UAS programs and systems.

Experience with Government led software or hardware development programs.

Knowledge and application of DevSecOps processes

Experience with Air Force or other DoD acquisition programs.
