This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of software engineering for the US Army next generation combat vehicles.  The current need is to support the software development department in an information security and digital containerization specialty. Working as a DCS employee co-located in Warren Michigan, you will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center customer and challenged technically in the areas of manned & unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and ground vehicle simulation.

Essential Job Functions:

Apply software engineering skills in research projects for ground combat vehicles, where knowledge and experience in embedded systems information security and separation.  Software design, development, and integration in critical mission data processing will be leveraged to support optionally manned systems development and testing for DoD S&T communities.

Direct customer contact and relationship management are extremely important, therefore candidate should be personable, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator. 

Candidate will have demonstrated experience in embedded systems development, including various engineering processes, methodologies, and development lifecycles in the creation of vehicle system/subsystem architectures.

Position may require the candidate to lead programs or sub-project and interact with the clients to comprehend and decompose complicated platform requirements into structured and manageable engineering components across multiple engineering disciplines.  

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor degree or higher and eight years experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Experience with military systems and leadership responsibilities in a large project or effort. 

Ability to work within a team environment to direct and contribute to a Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration concepts.

Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures.

Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.

Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering such as SysML UML, DoDAF, UPDM

Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross multiple layers of information security (Secure vs Non-Secure Networks).

Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.

Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems.

Experience in developing and executing System Level Plans.

Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to Travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (10% Travel).

Process development and improvement management (CMMI).
