DCS is hiring an Operations Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Hire and retain a balanced staff of engineering professionals directly involved in the continued execution of Government contracts.
Lead and manage integrated software development teams with a staff of 8-10 engineers providing requirements management, software design, system/software architecture, and test.
Possess and apply technical project management skills to develop strategic plans, and technical ability to actively engage, course correct and direct/redirect resource tasking as necessary.
Perform planning, budgeting, staffing for the organization as well as the mentoring, supervision and evaluation of team members.
ISO 9001 management QMS.
Anticipated travel (10%-20%) locally and to customer facilities.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
A Bachelor's degree (CE, EE, CS degree) plus 10-15 years of experience is required in system/software engineering for DoD related projects.
Desired Skills:
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Experience leading and managing embedded system or software development teams – minimum 7-15 resources including performance reviews, training, skills development, mentoring.
Experience with Army tactical ground vehicles, tactical ground vehicle architectures, and tactical operational equipment.
Experience with requirements management, software design, system/software architecture, and test.
Experience in business development including responding to RFIs, developing RFPs, and participating in other business development activities.
Experience with oversight to ensure effective execution of projects and tasks (i.e., Recruiting, Work Plans, Timesheets, Monthly CDRLs, Subcontract Invoicing).
Strong communications skills to coordinate project goals consistent with customer objectives and provide project status, technical solutions, and risks.
Strong Operating System background, Agile development, GIT.
