Job Description

The Operational Technical Specialist provides technical subject matter support regarding threat IADS systems and performs a variety of test and evaluation functions as a member of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team in support of the Joint Aviation Multi-Ship Integrated Air Defense System (IADS) Survivability Validation (JAMSV) Quick Reaction Test at the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Essential Job Functions:

Provides liaison to the warfighter community during event planning, research, and developing non-material test articles to support the QRT process.

Work with other test planners to identify warfighter problems and develop test issues, test plan, analysis plan, data management plan, and other test products.

Attends QRT process meetings such as the Joint Warfighter Advisory Group, Interfaces with Service and JT&E officials during the conduct of test planning and reviews.

Participates in JAMSV QRT execution activities including: developing test issues, operational effectiveness measures, contributes to initial QRT Test Plan development.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required

High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant operational experience, an Associates Degree plus 4 years, a Bachelors Degree plus 2 years or a Masters Degree plus 1 year is required.

Position requires an active SECRET clearance.

Operational experience as an EW operator or tactical intelligence analyst with extensive background in threat Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) and one or more of the following:

Extensive knowledge of threat RF IADS systems/capabilities and limitations.

Working knowledge of defensive countermeasure and aircraft survivability system capabilities, employment and tactics.

Experience with development and presentation of aviation-related training materials or course wares.

Direct experience developing, evaluating or revising Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).

Previous experience with Army rotorary wing or VSTOL aircraft operations.

Strong interpersonal skills to support QRT team outreach with the operational community.

Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products.

Desired Skills:

BS/BA Degree.

TOP SECRET clearance preferred.

Previous T&E experience participating in activities such as test planning, execution, observation, data collection, data management/ analysis, and/or developing post-test reports.

Previous JT&E or OT&E experience is highly desired.

Designation as certified trainer, training developer, or instructional systems designer.
