Job Description

The Marketing and Business Development Assistant is responsible for providing writing, coordination and administrative support in support of marketing and communications, business development and proposal development.

Essential Job Functions:

This role is responsible for providing writing, coordination and administrative support to the firm’s marketing, branding, and advertising efforts, events, and outreach initiatives.

This role will report to the Director of Capture and Proposal Development and be expected to work with managers, contractors, teaming partners, and other constituents. The following are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform in this role.

Assists with executing marketing and corporate communication initiatives to include developing website and intranet content and creating event advertisements.

Assists with creating, and maintaining social media content and strategies.

Assists with conference and trade show coordination.

Serves as system administrator for the proposal management system.

Assists with general market and competitive assessment research through use of beta.SAM and GovWin.

Serves as backup administrator for Dynamics CRM.

Training will be provided on above-mentioned systems.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of experience.

Demonstrated writing and proofreading skills.

Independent worker with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills required.

Familiarity with Facebook and LinkedIn for Business.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.

Must be intermittently able and willing to work long hours (possible weekends) with limited notice for proposal deadlines.

Desired Skills:

Minimum of 1 year of marketing/business development, communications or proposal coordination or creative writing experience preferred.

Experience creating content for social media or other publications preferred.

Graphics experience preferred.

Desktop Publishing (Adobe illustrator) skills a plus.
