Job Description

The F/A-18 & EA-18G Integrated Product Team (IPT) is looking for a highly motivated Integrated Fire Control (IFC) Integrated Warfare SME.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop I&I strategies for Systems of Systems testing ensuring that the alignment of the development, integration and test strategy meets the operational needs in introducing new system capabilities into Fleet and Fleet Marine Force operations.

Identify and develop an authoritative and focused methodology to verify CONOPS, CONEMPS, experimentation and Mission threads to address systems capability gaps.

Work closely with equivalent Mission Systems Engineering, Test Engineering, Training and Logistics personnel for coordinated strategies that support needed design and mission-level requirements in order to deliver capabilities based test and evaluation strategy.

Develop an execution strategy to develop, identify, collect and prioritize emergent and future capability needs.

Develop a solutions assessment to integrate the entire continuum of integration and test of live, virtual, constructive distributed environments (LVC-DE), experimentation, CONOPS and the transition of S&T/experimentation initiatives to fielded solutions, and will establish T&E working groups as required.

Develop experimentation and/or LVC-DE venues that meet Fleet and Fleet Marine Force objectives as informed by resource sponsors, programs, and Executive Steering Committees.

Coordinate with the IPT Product Leads, Team Leads and Block Managers.

Support the IPT Chief Systems Engineer to coordinate the execution of I&I development, integration and test on all type/model/series F/A-18 aircraft.

Recommend management actions for the overall I&I execution plan in coordination with the Air Wing (F-18/F-35/E2D) Integration and Interoperability Test Engineers, Systems Engineers, the Military Deputies and Chief Engineer.

Coordinate activities among Chief/System Engineering, Test Engineering and Logistician counterparts assigned to the respective IFC projects.

Examine activities required to deliver effective, interoperable and integrated Naval and Joint systems capabilities. 

These activities include, but are not limited to, review of Test DOTMLFP (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities, and Policy). 

Engage with other U.S. Government agencies and coalition partners to identify collaborative solutions for system-of-system and I&I related issues.

Develop written assessments of the current state versus future state of integration and test across all domains and the impacts on governance and organizations throughout the USN/USMC/FMS.

Support of System-of-System Integration, Test and Evaluation (T&E) process execution and to organize mission-level integration, test and evaluation that focuses on executing critical mission objectives across the numerous programs being tested in various stages of their life-cycle. 

Support the primary IPT Point of Contact for IFC I&I activities and will support interfaces with various T&E organizations to include NAWCWD, NAWCAD, VX-31, VX-23, Boeing, Raytheon, various PMAs and the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO).

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High school diploma/GED plus 23 years of relevant experience, or Associate's-level (AA/AS/Technical school) plus 17 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor degree with 15 years of relevant experience.

A current clearance is required and must be maintained for the duration of employment.

Must have a broad spectrum of experience in Mission Systems Integration and Project Management with specific emphasis on mission-level interoperability of the F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G Naval Integration and Interoperability (I&I) missions supported by various resources and ranges, including Live, Virtual,  and Constructive Distributed Environment (LVC-DE). 

Requires relevant expertise and experience to enable the development of I&I strategies in a Capabilities Based context and to review, explore, and capture critical issues on program acquisition, policies, procedures, standards, sustainment, CONOPS /CONEMPS, and current and future systems and their use in the battlespace.

Be knowledgeable of the battlespace at engagement, mission and campaign levels and of kill chains across multiple mission areas and have the experience to evaluate these results across the participating Systems Commands/Service Components, as required.
