Job Description

Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to support a high visibility research and development program building tools for collections management and intelligence forecasting.  As a Full Stack Software developer, you will have the opportunity to develop front-end interfaces and create back-end software that directly impact the lives of our nation’s intelligence analysts and mission planners. You will also be joining a growing team of engineers, scientists, and subject matter experts in Dayton, OH, dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of intelligence analysts and mission planners.

Essential Job Functions:

Work with subject matter experts to identify needs and workflows of our operational customers.

Build web based applications, interfaces, and data visualizations with the help of human factors professionals to support of those operational customer needs.

Design and interface with in-house databases and interact with external data sources.

Develop data capture and analysis tools to support the research teams within the lab.

Aid in account and system administration of the team’s standalone research network and web applications.

Participate in the team’s agile development process.  

Help provide documentation, integration, and training support to users.


Due to the sensitivity of customer requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline and at least 5 years of related development experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification).  Examples of past work highly encouraged.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain at least a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.

Experience with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and a familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, etc.).

Experience with deploying and interacting with databases (MongoDB, SQL et. Al.).

Comfortable with version control software, such as Git, and project management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.

Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.

Ability to work well in team environments.

Some intermittent travel to support integration and training is likely.

While not firm requirements for consideration, we feel an ideal candidate may also bring the following attributes:

A familiarity with the intelligence data collection management process.

A familiarity with human interface research and technologies.

An active U.S. DOD security clearance.
