Job Description

The Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) group is seeking a highly experienced subject matter expert (SME) in Field Support and application tester to work with DPSS on Digital Imagery Exploitation Engine (DIEE) Windows products and customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Utilize expertise to innovate DIEE and other DPSS products through integration and interoperability of systems and services to provide efficiency focused capabilities to the war fighter.

Work closely with JTCG/ME service leads for the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy) to collect and leverage requirements for future capabilities of DIEE.

Maintain expert level knowledge on current target development standards, processes, procedures, and products. Expertise includes Basic Target Development (BTD), Intermediate Target Development (ITD), and Advanced Target Development (ATD).

Provide recommendations for all DIEE capabilities to users which include but are not limited to: External database interactions, Target Coordinate Mensuration (TCM) methodologies and doctrines for Target Mensuration Only (TMO) and Target Mensuration Production (TMP), Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) / Combat Assessment (CA), Weaponeering, Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE), and product creation.

Maintain expertise in weaponeering software to include the JMEM Weaponeering System (JWS), and the Integrated Munition Effects Assessment (IMEA) to facilitate integration within DIEE.

Have expert level understanding of Target Graphic (TG) materials as they apply to all phases of target development.

Evaluate DIEE software against warfighter use-cases and provide feedback to the DIEE development team.

Have expert level knowledge of Modern Integrated Database (MIDB) / Machine Assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) utilization.

Maintain expertise in current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) publications as they relate to target development to include, but are not limited to, CJCSI 3160, CJCSI 3370, CJCSI 3162, and CJCSI 3505.

Provide feedback to DPSS management on road maps and new desired capabilities for DPSS products.

Educate users, and advocate for DPSS products within the war fighter community.

Provide periodic updates and status reports for both DPSS and DCS management.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.

BA or BS degree in relevant or related field required with 12 years of relevant experience.

Five years of experience in working with DoD operational units coordinating fire support.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for continued employment.

High level of expertise with both terrestrial fires and close air support, within the US DoD.

Well organized, able to self-manage, self-task and coordinate travel and training at various locations.

Superb communication skills, able to interface well with war fighters and civilian DoD product team members.

Extensive experience with mobile products and end user devices (EUD)’s within the DoD.

Desired Skills:

Experience in working with product teams for DoD software.

Experience with DPSS products, both mobile and desktop.

Experience with other DoD tactical data / fire coordination platforms such as JBC-P, AFATDS, etc.

Five years experience in working with DoD operational units coordinating fire support.
