Job Description

F-35 WIPT Weapons Integrator.   This senior engineer delivers technical support for the stores integration and associated hardware and software development as a member of the F-35 Weapons Integration Product Team (WIPT). The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the technical execution of stores integration tasks for the assigned weapons.  This position is located at Eglin AFB, Florida. 

Essential Job Functions:

Act as government weapon integrator and focal point for all integration activity associated with assigned weapons.

Maintain oversight of all aircraft/weapon integration activities for compliance with F-35 Joint Contract Specification and ensure the services ultimately receive effective and suitable mission capabilities.

Coordinate with Weapon Program Offices to ensure that aircraft integration activities will satisfy certification requirements and are synchronized with weapon program roadmap.

Support JICWG meetings, Program Management Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings and IPT status meetings as required.  Act as government interface manager for assigned weapons.

Coordinate with the Stores Certification IPT on activities such as wind tunnel tests, ground fit checks, environmental testing and store separation testing.

Coordinate with NAVAIR and Air Force Seek Eagle organizations to ensure all analysis is completed to support weapon certification and that fleet flight clearances will be approved at the conclusion of the weapon integration cycle.

Participate in aircraft software development activities to ensure weapon functionality is properly mechanized in the aircraft software.

Coordinate and participate as needed in lab, ground and flight tests. Monitor, review and comment on test plans, test procedures and test results.

Support weapon systems analysis as required for Weapon Delivery Accuracy, Lethality and Mission Effectiveness.

Review and support weapons integration planning and estimating for future weapons integration efforts.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelors degree in engineering with 8+ years of demonstrated experience in weaponeering.

Must be able to obtain and maintain program security clearances.

Significant technical background with demonstrated experience in weaponeering, especially with aircraft-weapons integration development and test.

Strong interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders.

Must be able to travel as required.
