Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced Engineering Process Improvement Initiative with DCS Corp's Army Ground Combat Software and Vehicle Electronics Architecture teams located in Warren, MI.

As an Process Engineering Specialist, you will help establish, carry out and monitor the execution of engineering processes used to develop and field the latest technological system software advancements for vehicle electronics that reside in military combat ground vehicles. 

Essential Job Functions:

Develop organizational engineering processes that improve efficiency, consistency and repeatability of engineering practices and establish quantitative data to assist Engineering Project Managers to make data-backed decisions regarding project execution.

Develop and continuously improve the Organizational Set of Standard Practices utilized by the engineering organizations.

Plan, implement and review engineering processes ensuring consistency and compliance with CMMI.

Track, document and report project progress using Quantitative Project Metrics and Metrics Analysis.

Pro-actively coordinate and work with Engineering Project Leads to assist in project execution and identify corrective actions with project stakeholder to ensure project execution is leading towards the delivery of quality engineering products.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering plus twelve years of experience.

Ability to obtain a Government security clearance.

Experience in leading or actively participating in Process Improvement Initiatives such as CMMI and Engineering Process Groups.

Experience with process initiatives to improve engineering support functions such as Configuration Management (CM) and Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA).

Experience with defect tracking, risk management, earned value management and requirements management.

Experience in developing plans, schedules, scope and budget.

Experience with Systems & Software Life Cycles.

Fluent with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Access.

Familiar with carrying out objective and measurable technical trade studies.
