The Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) is seeking a motivated software tester to perform manual and automated testing and related quality assurance activities on native applications for Windows platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform manual functional and UI tests on native platform applications.
Develop test cases based on written requirements and existing application functionality.
Find, document, and manage defects.
Develop and code fixes for native applications on Windows platforms.
Develop, code and maintain automated test cases for native applications on Windows platforms.
Work closely with the development team, systems engineers and subject matter experts to develop/execute test procedures and troubleshoot platforms.
Install updated files in a test-fix-test development cycle.
Analyze and improve current test processes and procedures.
Work with stake holders and technical writers to document and describe current defects and software readiness.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, plus 5 years experience; relevant experience will also be considered.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance.
Be able to work on-site when required.
Ability to work independently and to follow detailed test procedures/workflows.
Experience in software systems or software development.
Proficiency with at least one programming languages such as C#, Java, Python or C++.
Experience in working with applications on the Windows platforms.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Superb written and verbal communication skills.
Must have excellent work ethic, time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
Desired Skills:
Experience with multi-echelon Joint Command and Control systems, Air Operations Center systems and associated targeting applications as well as database functions and workflows.
Experience in developing and debugging applications on native Windows platforms.
Experience with Agile, Scrum and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Enjoys self-learning, tinkering and fiddling with technology products.
