Job Description

Infoscitex, a DCS company, is an employee owned organization with a reputation for agile and efficient development of technology solutions for U.S. Defense, Aerospace, Human Factors, and Security markets. We continue to provide innovative solutions with our multidisciplinary teams formed with exceptional employees. Infoscitex is seeking a Computer Scientist/Engineer to support extensive high visibility Multi Domain Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts. As a member of our team, you will support aerospace and human interface technologies research in Dayton, OH, having opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state of the art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, machine learning specialists, and military Subject Matter Experts (SME). This particular work will provide opportunities for full-stack software development in support of multi-domain research studies and prototype application development.

Essential job functions:

As this Computer Scientist/Engineer, you could expect to:

Collaborate with research leads to understand study requirements and identify relevant tasking.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, such as pilots and technologists, to identify requirements for system implementation.

Coordinate with team members to develop software in support of the execution of research studies, streamlining analysis, and the collection of metrics and measures.

Apply best coding practices and standards.

Some intermittent short-term travel may be requested to support demonstrations and facilitate research studies.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; and at least 5 years of related software development experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with limited experience or advanced degrees may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.

Ability to develop prototype and interface applications to meet customer requirements to facilitate research studies or demonstrate concepts/capabilities.

Experience with a modern programming language: C++ or Python preferred.

Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.

Ability to work with engagement, mission, or campaign level simulation environments.

Ability to work well in team environments.

Ability to travel, if needed.

An ideal candidate would also bring the following attributes, although these are not firm requirements for consideration:

Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual), and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.

Hands on experience with distributed simulation environments or synthetic data generation technologies.

Hands on experience with AFSIM software and tools.

Experience with user interface design.

Familiarity with modern Multi Domain Command and Control military systems, both foreign and domestic.

Familiarity with human interface research and technologies.

An active U.S. DOD security clearance.
