Are you looking for a rewarding and impactful new opportunity?  DCS has an exciting opportunity for a Computer Scientist/Software Engineer supporting the AFLCMC/EBY, The Test & Training Division, AFLCMC/EBY, has responsibility for developing, producing, and sustaining full scale and subscale targets, and target control systems, air-to-air and air-to-ground aircrew training systems. These products consist of F-16 Full Scale Aerial Target (QF-16), Air Force Subscale Aerial Target (AFSAT), Target Control System (TCS), Common Range Integrated Instrumentation System (CRIIS) and the P5 Combat Training System (CTS)

Essential Job Functions: 

The candidate for this position will provide technical support to the QF-16 engineering team in the areas of system and software product sustainment with an emphasis on the software related test.  Primarily, they will work with senior level engineers to monitor and assess the test and evaluation (T&E) of the QF-16 computer system and software products used in QF-16 Drone Peculiar Equipment (DPE) and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE). 

The candidate will be required to review and evaluate software-related artifacts to include software designs, test plans, test reports, version description documents. 

They will support the development of Statement of Objectives/Work (SOOs/SOWs), evaluation of proposals, and review of System Improvement Requests (SIRs).

The candidate will support the development/review of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Deficiency Reports (DRs). 

Occasional travel is required to support technical interchange meetings, system engineering technical reviews (SETRs), and software T&E events at contractor facilities and government test ranges.

Required Skills: 

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active Secret clearance. 

BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering with 12 years of relevant experience; or MS in Computer Science /Software Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.

Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Additional Information: 

Travel required.

Ability to rent/operate rental cars while on travel.

Ability to work flexible and varied hour.
