Job Description

Infoscitex , a DCS company, is seeking a Branch Manager to support Department of Defense (DoD) and National Security research and development efforts in St. Louis, MO. This position provides a dynamic work environment having opportunities to work with state of the art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work will focus on the integration and application of multiple software additions and enhancements to an existing modeling and simulation framework and may include both stand-alone constructive and distributed virtual simulation development efforts.      

The Branch Manager will support a software engineering and analysis team consisting of approximately thirteen software engineers and operations research analysts, having varying levels of experience. The team conducts research and development efforts which include, but are not limited to, developing system requirements and agile software development according to customer specifications, system requirements, and software best practices.  

Essential Job Functions:  

In this role, you will be responsible for functional management of individual contributors and office functions, recognizing market opportunities, planning for technology, understanding competitive positioning, and controlling business costs.

Support Project Management activities and collaborate with your Department Manager to align prioritized development efforts and schedules with staffing and financial resources .  

Support recruitment of technical staff.  

Conduct mentoring, supervision, and periodic evaluation of subordinates.  

Support periodic reporting activities to articulate branch status to senior management.  

Conduct periodic reporting activities to articulate project status to the customer.  

Support business development activities to ensure long-term team viability.  

Requirements:  

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline and at least 6 years of related experience.  

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain at least a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.  

Ability to support analyses/assessments/decisions related to key aspects of development projects or overall project planning and execution.  

Ability to develop and implement program plans and strategies in accordance with supported customer requirements, policies, and guidelines.  

Ability to travel, as needed.  

Desired Skills:  

Experience managing software development and/or research teams.

Experience with military operations research.

Proficient in Modeling & Simulation architectures and their applications.

Proficient at developing in C/C++ and/or conducting Modeling & Simulation oriented analyses.

Experience with the AFSIM simulation architecture.  

Bring an active Secret or higher level clearance.
