Job Description

In this position you will provide full-spectrum Acquisition Program Management Support to the US Air Force Helicopter Program Office acquisition programs within the Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) & Special Operations Forces (SOF) Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions:

Apply the full range of acquisition program management principles, policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of acquisition management activities to include pre- and post-contract award and milestone reviews in support of the HH-60W and MH-139A ACAT Ia programs.  Assist in the coordination of resources (financial, management, procurement, engineering, and logistics) and the consolidation of their inputs into common documents.  Assist in planning for the accomplishment of various program milestones. The Contractor shall assist the HPO in development of both content and format of acquisition documents IAW Air Force standards.

Assist in the identification of requirements to support the acquisition, sustainment and supportability improvements required from program initiation through initial operational capability and continued sustainment to bed down of the HH-60W and MH-139A weapon systems.

Assist with the planning for program milestones and reviews.  Assist with developing, analyzing and maintaining integrated program schedules and plans throughout the program life-cycle.

Assist with leading/support activities including but not limited to planning meetings/offsites, facilitating meetings/offsites, developing documents, and attending specialized meetings, as required.  Support activities shall include developing and disseminating the agenda and slides, opening and setting up the conference room, recording and disseminating action items via electronic mail, and securing the room after the meeting.

Assist with writing, coordinating, staffing, and maintaining program documentation, including but not limited to documentation regarding requirements, cost, schedule, performance, risk, impacts, the development of acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. DAES, MAR, etc.) and status of the program.

Apply principles, criteria, procedures, rapid prototyping and fielding authorities of Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 5000.01 and DoDI 5000.02 as well as the policies and processes of the USAF, Headquarters (HQ) AFMC, AFLCMC/WI to all HPO acquisition tasks. The Contractor shall manage all integration issues that arise from the various reviews, evaluations, and assessments IAW DOoDI 5000.02, the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation and other prescribed statutory and regulatory references.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus 16 years of relevant experience is required.

Requires a Secret security clearance

Applicant selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Post-secondary education may be substituted for work experience requirements.

Of the total relevant experience, a minimum of 5 years managing programs in a DoD acquisition environment.

Possess the ability to understand and assimilate highly complex technical information, and assist in the assessment, operational planning, testing, and transition of technology to support new USAF programs of record.
